Bellezza extra virgin olive oil
Bellezza comes from the fertile lands of Tuscany. Specifically, this oil is produced in a small area called Bolgheri, the same area that is home to the world famous “Super Tuscan” wines Sassicaia, Ornellaia and Guado al Tasso.
Bellezza retains its purity through immediately pressing the olives which were selectively hand picked. These olives include leccino, moraiolo, and frantoio.
This area produces olives unlike those of other areas. The sea releases iodine from the west side. Macchia Della Magona, a national park on the east side, releases an intense mass of oxygen. Combining both these elements, iodine(I) and oxygen(O), gives
Bellezza a unique low acidity, yielding higher antioxidant proprieties.
Because
Bellezza is specifically designed to be used as a beauty product, it holds much higher standards than the typical oil sold at your local grocery store. To start with,
Bellezza olives are only harvested during the month of October. Most other companies harvest their olives during December and January because olives grow fatter during the cold months and, therefore, allow more to be harvested. While this reduces the amount oil produces each year, the quality is significantly higher.
To prevent the loss of antioxidants and important vitamins, all olives are pressed within 6 hours of being picked from the tree. Just as an apple is better fresh off the tree, olive oil loses valuable nutrients the longer it remains unprocessed. Olives are placed into wooden, oxygenated containers. Most companies place their olives in plastic containers. Each container holds olives from one tree and is directly taken to be pressed. Most companies ship their olives overseas to be pressed in order to save money. We press and bottle our oil onsite.
Bellezza is grown and bottled in Tuscany.
After the bottles are ready to be sold, they are flown into the United States. Most other companies ship by boat, which typically takes over 32 days. The constant shifting temperatures found on a boat shipment lower the quality of final product and frequently freezes. Shipping by air eliminates the risk of having
Bellezza coming in contact with cold temperatures and lose nutrients.
Harvesting in October, immediate pressing, and air shipping limit the amount of
Bellezza produced each year, but the finished product stands out from the rest. That is why
Bellezza is known as the natural aid to enhance inner health and outward beauty.
